WHAT WE BUILD ON

Technique & Skills

Different camp focuses, different hockey skills. Development of skating, puck control, and game thinking.

Strength & Conditioning

Demanding training using modern training tools makes our camps challenging and fun for players.

Welcome back

Most players like to return to our camps, which makes us very happy and is also a great recognition of our work.

TYPES OF CAMPS

Our camps have a clear structure. Each day has its purpose and goal.

Skating Camp

One of the most important skills in ice hockey. This camp focuses on skating technique (edges, forward and backward skating, stops, starts, direction changes, turns, etc.). Power skating is also part of this camp.

Puck Control Camp

This camp follows skating with another key hockey skill – stickhandling and puck control. Players improve puck control in various situations, passing (forehand / backhand), toe drags, and receiving passes. Sometimes skating and puck control are combined into one camp, with on-ice drills designed to improve both skills.

Shooting & Finishing Camp

During this camp, players shoot hundreds of pucks on the ice. Drills are designed to improve shooting technique (forehand / backhand), speed, and accuracy. A strong emphasis is placed on scoring. All types of shots are demonstrated by our coaches and then practiced by players.

1-on-1 Camp

A camp focused on one-on-one situations, two-on-two, three-on-three, and small-area battles. Players practice both offensive and defensive situations. Training drills focus on puck protection, body positioning, puck battles, and solving balanced and unbalanced situations on the ice.

OUR PHILOSPOHY

We believe that hockey teaches more than just movement and shooting. At Hockey Nation Academy, we develop hockey skills, character, and respect – because these qualities make real athletes.

STILL THINKING?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who are the camps for?

Our camps are designed for players aged 5 to 18. Players are divided into two to three age categories (depending on the number of registered players).

How can I register my son/daughter for a camp?

Camp registration is done via the reservation form on our website. Alternatively, you can contact us by email at: [email protected]

How do our camps work?

Our camps start on Friday afternoon, when each age group completes two hours of on-ice training.

On Saturday, this continues with three hours of on-ice training plus one hour of off-ice training.

On Sunday, there are again three hours of on-ice training plus one hour of off-ice training.

In total, each age group completes eight hours of on-ice training and two hours of off-ice training during the camp. There are breaks between individual training sessions for each age group.

What kind of coaches train at Hockey Nation Academy?

Our hockey camps are led by professional youth coaches who work with youth hockey teams in the Czech Republic. We have coaches with A, B, and C coaching licenses, as well as specialists in power skating and stickhandling.

What makes us different?

We place great emphasis on a personal, individual approach to each player. Compared to regular club training, we focus more on explanation, visual demonstrations of individual skills, immediate correction of mistakes, and repeated practice so that players not only understand the skills but also improve them through repetition.

This is possible thanks to an above-standard number of coaches on the ice, as well as one to two head coaches who supervise everything and work individually with players who need special attention and clear demonstrations.

How does registration work?

You choose the camp date, and all information will be sent to you by email.

What is included in the camp price?

The camp price includes eight hours of on-ice training, two hours of off-ice training, and a personalized Hockey Nation hockey jersey (the player receives one jersey at their first camp; at subsequent camps in the same year, the jersey is no longer included). Lunches (Saturday and Sunday) are also included in the price.

Accommodation is not included.

The camp lasts the entire weekend – how does it work outside of training sessions?

Our coaching team is responsible for the players during all training sessions. Outside of training, parents are responsible for their children themselves (especially the youngest age groups).

Why is every camp different?

Each of our camps has a different name and is focused on a different hockey skill. Our camps follow a well-developed progression system and are designed to build on each other based on their focus.

Why does the camp price differ in different countries?

The camp price depends on costs, mainly ice rental prices, which vary from country to country.
